As I said above, it’s impossible to swap out the compact flash card without opening the case. Check out figure 2, 3 and 4 to see what I mean.

Dude, where's my slot?

As you can see, you can’t pull out the compact flash card without it hitting the front of the case. What we need is a slot that we can slide the compact flash card through. That’s what I’ll show you how to do next.

Am I a genius for thinking of this? No. In fact, this wasn’t even my idea. As far as I know, jimptwit was the first guy to try it. However, I think I’m probably the first guy to write a how-to about it!

    Nice how-to! I just bought an Alix and was getting sick and tired of swapping the CF card to try different firmwares.
