Hello, I'm in the middle of building my home network. I saw your video it was fantastic. I have everything done BUt I ran into an issue that lead me to your youtube video. I conected switches in each room(6 of them). So that each room had 4 or more ethernet conections at wich point they all lost communication! Non of them work! I now understand the need for a "Smart Swith" thergo "NETGEAR - ProSafe 8-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch" so that it assigns IP adresses to all switches that are to piggyback on It. I'm about to go and purchase this swith so that I can attempted to make this project a success. But I would appreciate your input. I'm not an IT expert, I'm a just an average weekend nerd. I understand I need an L3 swith or Smart Switch. But configuring it .... I'm asking for help. A single ethernet conection in each room is still not enough when you have 3 boys and each one has a computer, xbox, directv, smart tv's, External Media Hard Drives, and so on. Please help.

Thanks,
Gene

I want to stream video direct from my Lacie SpaceMax network drive to my Sony Bravia KDL32W5500 HD TV. I find that SD (720x576) mpg videos are recognised and played by the TV but I find that HD (1920x1080) mpg videos are not even recognised (i.e. listed) by the TV. I have tried other media exports from Adobe PremPro without success. Which HD formats will be seen and played by the TV? Thanks for any suggestions.
